Suzi has coached judges, board members, general counsels, deputy and associate general counsels, executives, managing partners, equity partners, senior attorneys, practice group leaders and marketing directors. She provided executive coaching services in 16 law firms (eight of which are AmLaw100 firms),15 corporate law departments including DuPont, Accenture, Goldman Sachs, Toyota, Welch’s, and the FBI, and nine industry organizations such as NAWL, the Supreme Court of Virginia, the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC), LMA and FTI Consulting. As an executive coach to the management of the legal department at DuPont for over six years, Suzi contributed to the development and growth of the nationally acclaimed DuPont Legal Model. Industry Founder 

An industry founder, she’s designed and built several global organizations for coaches and brings her differentiated thinking to many international boards of directors and advisory boards. Suzi helped build and evolve the global coaching profession through various industry founder roles: In 2007 she founded the Leading Coaches' Center, The Leader’s Clubhouse, and Village Fair, providing content and community online to a global membership of coaches. In 2009 she co-founded and launched the Library of Professional Coaching (the world’s first and largest free digital coaching library) and stewarded its growth until it sold to ICF in 2024. She co-founded ICCO (International Consortium of Coaching in Organizations) and IJCO (International Journal for Coaching in Organizations) and served on both boards for many years. She co-created and co-founded the acclaimed ECMBA Program (Executive Coach Master Business Accelerator) in 2014. She co-founded and served on the Executive Board of the IPCPA (International Professional Coaching Publications Association). She is the designer of the LEAP Tiered Coaching Program, the Custom Executive Reinvention Lab, and the Private CEO Strategy Council, which is a selective, curated, co-thinking space for c-suite executives.

 

Suzi was a visible steward, advancing the profession of coaching in organizations. She’s been a member several coaching organizations including ICF (International Coach Federation) and IAC (International Association of Coaches), and EMCC Global (European Mentoring and Coaching Council), and served on the initial credentialing committee for ICF in the early years. Suzi chaired the first ICCO Symposium in Washington, DC on The Global Implications of Organizational Coaching. Suzi facilitated as well as co-chaired the International Executive Coaching Summit, an invitation-only annual gathering of worldwide senior executive development experts which she attended for 10 years. Suzi annually attended the exclusive Conversation Among Masters (CAM) invitation-only gathering for master coaches for 5 years. 

 

Thought Leader

Suzi presented at the Annual International Coaching Federation Conference and the Capitol Coaches’ Conference, as well as The World Business and Executive Coaching Summit, and taught executive coaches for 12 years as facultyat the Executive Coach Academy and the College of Executive Coaching and as Resource Faculty Member at Advantara Global Coach Training Institute. Suzi was guest faculty and a featured speaker to industry leaders in over a dozen coaching schools and programs including: Association of Coach Training Organizations, Hudson Institute of Santa Barbara, Newfield Network, Gestalt Center for Organization and Systems Development International Gestalt Coaching Program, and the Purdue University Organizational Leadership Development Lab. She was invited as a panelist at the inaugural World Business and Executive Coaching Summit (WBECS) in 2011 and a featured speaker at the same event in 2012. In 2014, she was also asked to be the Director of Training for the Leadership Coaching and Organizational Performance program at both George Mason University and Rutgers University and served one term in that role. 

 

She delivered guest lectures at George Washington University, Loyola University, and the University of Virginia, and has coached executives in the MBA for Executives Program at Darden. Suzi presented, coached, and led team meetings at the prestigious Linkage Best of Organizational Development Summit in 2008.

Her published writing shares insights on leadership, executive coaching, ethics and business development in more than 100 articles, and she has authored, co-authored, or contributed to 11 books including the bestselling Seal the Deal: The Essential Mindsets for Growing Your Professional Services Business (HRD Press, 2006) and the number one international bestseller Ready, Aim, Captivate (with Deepak Chopra and other luminaries). She has been quoted in the Washington Post and Washington Business Journal, contributed frequently to Forbes and co-authors a regular column in choice, the magazine of professional coaching, where she has been a contributor for over two decades. She serves on the Advisory Board of the international journal: Philosophy of Coaching. She currently serves as the Strategic Advisor to the Editorial Board of choice, the magazine of professional coaching.

 

Awards and Honors

Recognized with numerous industry distinctions, Suzi received the 2007 Woman of Achievement Award from Business and Professional Women (BPW) with the Commission for Women. In 2008 the International Consortium for Coaching in Organizations (ICCO) Board of Directors established and gave her a legacy award in her name: the Suzi Pomerantz Award for Stewardship. In 2009, Suzi was named the #1 Most Influential Executive Coach on Twitter, and in 2010 she was invited as a Founding Coach in Keith Ferrazzi’s Relationship Masters Academy. She was also named a coaching hero by SupporTED for her work with the TED Fellows program. In 2012 she was invited to join the Harvard Business Review Advisory Council to help shape the content they develop on management and leadership. In 2013, Suzi was inducted into Bestselling Authors International Organization and became a Founding Member of the Mentors Guild. In 2015, Suzi was invited to join the Association for Coaching Excellence. In 2016, she was invited to join the Forbes Coaches Council, and invitation-only community for leading coaches. Recipient of the 2017 ICF Global Board Chair’s Award and was named in Corporate Vision magazine’s Coaching Top 50 as well as Six Figure Coach magazine’s Top 200 Coaches to Follow Online. Her company was selected as Most Outstanding Executive Coaching Company of the year 2018 by Global Business Insight. Also in 2018 she was awarded the Platinum Coach designation at the Association for Coaching Excellence. In 2021 Suzi was awarded Silver in the category of Best Americas Coach. Suzi earned her EMCC Global Accreditation as Certified Senior Practitioner 2022-2027. In 2024 she was presented with the Gordon Lee Salmon Sustainable Leadership Award by colleagues and peers. In 2025 she was recognized as a Top Executive Coach in America. 

 

Education

Suzi holds two degrees from the University of Virginia; a Bachelor of Arts and a Master’s from the Curry School of Education. Collegiate honors include Kappa Delta Pi International Education Honor Society, Dean’s List, and Lawn Resident (Thomas Jefferson’s Academic Village).
